Last week was an eventful one for the team at Stonecrest. On Thursday, we had an all-day offsite event dedicated to communication training for all Stonecrest employees. That was followed by day of fun at our annual picnic.
Team Training
Thursday featured an all-day offsite event dedicated to communication training for all Stonecrest employees. The group gathered at the beautiful CordeValle Club in San Martin, CA to sharpen their communication skills. This year’s agenda targeted specific communication goals identified by the Stonecrest team via survey. Topics included:
- Effectively managing time
- Rekindling the spark of creativity
- Handling difficult conversations gracefully
- Implementing new communication skills
With seasoned trainer Alexander Van Buren on hand to lead the training, we enjoyed a very productive day. The team was able to unwind that evening with a buffet dinner and hosted bar at the Lion’s Peak Grill, a relaxing outdoor dining spot on the CordeValle grounds.
Summer Picnic
On the following day (Friday), we held our annual summer picnic. Employees, partners, and their families were treated to fun and games, delicious food, and a little downtime on a sunny summer day. There was a bit of everything this year – a western theme and a variety of activities for people of all ages.
It was a great wrap-up to a week of learning and fun that left everyone feeling relaxed and looking forward to another year of success as we head into the fall season.
